Saab participates in Botswana Air Show09 Jun 2015The Barracuda's HeaT Reduction CoolCam properties protected guests from the heat in a real-life demo of how the product would protect assets in the field. Saab participated in the recent Botswana Air Show, giving the 15 000+ visitors first-hand experience of the company's defence solutions. Most popular on the day was Saab's Barracuda Mobile Camouflage Net used to cover the pavilion at the show. The Barracuda's HeaT Reduction (HTR) CoolCam properties protected guests from the blazing heat in a real-life demonstration of how the product would protect assets in the field. The Barracuda reduces heat build-up from solar loading and environmental heat while operating in hot climatic regions. It is an ideal solution for reducing interior temperatures, and for improving the efficiency of an air-conditioning system. The multispectral umbrella system of the Barracuda obstructs thermal and visual reconnaissance by enemy forces, including snipers, while allowing outward observation by the user. It is also lightweight, offers rapid deployment and storage, and has been proven on a variety of vehicles. "The Botswana Air Show presented a real opportunity for us to engage with clients and other stakeholders from the region and further afield," said Anna-Karin Rosen, Saab's head of Gripen, Africa. "We were honoured to participate in such a prestigious event, and look forward to doing so again in the future. |
