Saab Training Systems sells combat training centres to Finnish Army11 Mar 2014The contract provides the Finnish Army with anti-tank simulators, vehicle simulators and systems for military operations in urban terrain. Saab, Training & Simulation has received an order from the Finnish Defence Force on Combat Training Systems that will supply regiments. The order also includes support for seven years, starting 2014. The value of the order amounts to approximately MSEK360 million. "The Finnish Defence Force has once again chosen Saab as its partner. The Finnish Army has used Saab's systems for more than 10 years and has always been a competent user. This order strengthens our position as one of the world's leading suppliers of combat training centres," says Henrik H�jer, VP Training & Simulation, Saab. The contract provides the Finnish Army with anti-tank simulators, vehicle simulators and systems for military operations in urban terrain (MOUT). The simulators include the new laser standard OSAG 2. The contract also includes a mid-life upgrade of the Finnish combat training centre, KASI system. The new regimental system and the KASI system will be used together in battalion exercises.
