Alford Technologies secures UK MoD contract for Gladius off-route mine systems
[Johannesburg, 9 June 2025] -Alford Technologies Ltd has announced the award of a significant contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), initially valued at �1 million and subsequently increased to �1.5 million, for the supply of its Gladius off-route mine systems to the British Army. This procurement marks an enhancement of the UK's anti-tank capabilities and reinforces NATO's collective defence posture.
The MoD's decision to acquire the Gladius system addresses a critical capability gap in the British Army's arsenal, specifically in the area of lethal barriers for both defensive and offensive operations. The Gladius system will provide British forces with a modern, flexible anti-tank mine capability.
