Stop Rhino Poaching
[Johannesburg, 21 January 2021] -NGO Stop Rhino Poaching was established in 2010 as a response to the sudden and steep escalation in rhino poaching across South Africa. Since the start of the poaching epidemic in 2008 South Africa has lost over 8 600 rhinos - a figure that, despite so much effort, increases daily.
Poachers seem to have the upper hand. They know when to strike. Intelligence driven operations (knowing who, what, where, when and how) are the cornerstone elements to cracking the syndicates.
Alaris Antennas, in a partnership with Hensoldt South Africa GEW, is proud to support this initiative which involved the installation of a new repeater for a mobile radar system.
